2025 Yachats Celtic Music Festival
Céad Míle Fáilte, A hundred thousand welcomes to everyone!
The 2025 Yachats Celtic Music Festival is here. If you are not familiar with Celtic music, it is the grandparent of many of our American music genres. This year the dates are Nov. 7, 8 & 9.
The festival is continuing the popular daytime “pub style” format at the Commons, with both free and ticketed entertainment, along with concerts at the Yachats Community Presbyterian Church plus Celtic themed music and attractions around town, including the magical sunset ‘piper on the point’ . A special Sunday concert, will follow the free Ceili workshop and dance.
Dancing, story-telling, workshops, jam sessions, vendors, food, whisky tasting, and lots of fun awaits you, with additional surprises and treats planned.
The Yachats Celtic Music Festival is a Polly Plumb Productions, and Yachats community supported event. Polly Plumb Productions is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

Experience the Magic of Celtic Music and Culture
The Yachats Celtic Music Festival honors Celtic heritage through thrilling performances, engaging workshops, and community celebrations, fostering cultural appreciation and lasting memories for all attendees.

Andrew Finn Magill and Alan Murray
For twenty years North Carolina-native violinist/fiddler Andrew Finn Magill has been pursuing parallel careers in traditional Irish music, Brazilian choro, jazz and American fiddle.
Alan Murray has shared the stage with such artists as Karan Casey, Eileen Ivers and Scotland’s Battlefield Band and has toured extensively across Ireland, Britain, Europe, Australia and the United States.
Alan has joined us here in Yachats previously with Caitlin Warbelow, and again with Cillian Vallely.
We are delighted to have them here together this year, and we’re sure you will be too.

Lisa and Aryeh have been with us before and we are always excited to have them come back. Masterfully combining Celtic harps, Swedish nyckelharpa, Ukrainian bandura, bouzouki, cittern and more, they will take you on a journey through the history of Celtic music, with their unique show and wondrous stories and humor.

Breabach
Breabach remains securely ranked amongst Scotland’s most skilled & imaginative contemporary-folk acts and at the forefront of the burgeoning traditional music scene.
Versatility, love of experimentation, and a willingness to push the boundaries of Scottish roots music, have endured as the core values of the band over the past two decades.
With 8 critically acclaimed studio releases to date and an extensive global touring schedule, Breabach’s journey shows no sign of slowing. They continue their adventures with performances and festivals across the UK, USA and Europe.

DREOS
As performers and teachers, the three members of Dreos have been at the forefront of the Pacific Northwest Celtic music scene for decades.
Combining the blazing piping of Eliot Grasso, virtuosic fiddling of Brandon Vance, and powerhouse accompaniment of Glen Waddell, Dréos offers listeners exciting, handcrafted music in a living tradition, and brings audiences and students into a centuries-old cultural-artistic dialogue.

“Born in Dublin, Ireland, grammy award-winning and BBC Award-nominated vocalist and songwriter Susan McKeown is widely acknowledged as one of the most powerful and innovative voices in folk music today. In a distinguished career, she has performed at Glastonbury, The Edinburgh Festival, Carnegie Hall and the Walt Disney Concert Hall and had her music featured on on PBS, NPR, PRI, BBC and RTE. Susan joins us with her trio featuring Kyle Sanna ( https://www.kylesanna.com ) and Matt Mancuso .”

É.T.É
The fruitful meeting of three young musicians with vibrant artistic journeys, É.T.É propose a dynamic and contemporary vision of Québécois trad music. With influences from jazz, progressive rock, and classical music, violinist Élisabeth Moquin, bouzouki player Thierry Clouette and cellist Élisabeth Giroux create their own trad universe with original compositions and unique arrangements of Québécois and Acadian repertoire. Their rich vocal harmonies, their groove, their ease at their instruments and their electrifying simpatico onstage creates an unforgettable show.
We are very excited to be able to present these outstanding musicians to you this year.

“Dave Curley, Tadhg Ó Meachair & Joanna Hyde form an exciting and dynamic transatlantic trio that presents a rousing blend of Irish and American folk music, having already won over audiences on both sides of the ocean. The group is made up of Dublin’s Tadhg Ó Meachair (Goitse), Galway’s Dave Curley (SLIDE) and Denver, Colorado’s Joanna Hyde (The Hydes), and features a mix of Irish and American folk music and song.
Through a shared deep-rooted passion for Irish traditional music, this trio highlights the vital role of Irish traditional music as part of the foundation of American folk music.

Marco performs with the Eugene Highlanders. He will be joining us again this year as our featured Piper on the Point.
This Yachats tradition blends the majesty of a seaside sunset with the magic of the bagpipes, on the observation deck at the Yachats State Park at the west end of town.
Join Marco at Sunset on Friday and Saturday of the festival for this enchanting show.
